About Albury & Wodonga
Wodonga is a city on the Victorian side of the border with New South Wales, 324 kilometres north-east of Melbourne. It is located wholly within the boundaries of the City of Wodonga LGA and is separated from its twin city in New South Wales, Albury, by the Murray River. Albury is an Australian city in southern New South Wales. It sits on the border with Victoria, hugging the vast Murray River. In the centre, the Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) showcases contemporary works, including photography and indigenous art. Paths run through landscaped lawns at the Botanic Gardens, which also include a children's garden. Monument Hill features WWI and WWII memorials, and views over the city. Hume Dam, formerly the Hume Weir, is a major dam across the Murray River downstream of its junction with the Mitta River in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The dam's purpose includes flood mitigation, hydro-power, irrigation, water supply and conservation.
